My only First game I have played in years that I can't put down. It's everything good about Deus Ex made better, including combat, stealth, and most importantly your choices really do feel like they make an impact on the story.
All the dissenters on here can stick to playing CoD or some other arcade shooter as they seem to just not get this game. If you are the type who likes to see all the endings this game can have, then you more than get your money's worth! HIGHLY RECOMMEND! … Expandįirst game I have played in years that I can't put down. It's easily a 50 hour or more experience if you do the side missions and really explore the environment. If you have the cash, this game is WELL worth it. This is hands down my sleeper hit of the summer and will easily keep my occupied until late September when the first of the fall/holiday blockbusters start rolling in. It's a blast getting to play with all the different types of weapons, gadgets, and augmentations at your disposal. These gripes aside, overall Deus Ex is an outstanding gaming experience with an extremely well written story loaded with conspiracies and multiple plot twists and turns. I feel like this game would have really benefited from a guide like you have in the superb Dead Space games. It's downright hard to navigate and comprehend, and to date I have not found a way to even set a waypoint. My only real complaint is the map/waypoint system. The framerate stutters once in awhile and the control scheme takes some getting used to if you have played a lot of triple-A shooters like Halo, Battlefield, and Call of Duty. The score is fantastic! My only complaints with the game are mostly nitpicks. It's like somebody couldn't put down their yellow crayons. Graphics are solid with a dark, Blade Runner-type feel although I would have liked to have seen a little more varied color palette. The voice acting is a bit hit or miss, but overall decent. The game does such a good job of combining strategy/RPG elements with 1st person shooting. I often find myself stopping to really think of how best to tackle any given situation.
